About us

Fo-stars Childcare Services is an OFSTED registered provider for safe and reliable home setting for children and young people with emotional/behavioral difficulties and mild mental health, who have experienced familial and various forms of abuse, and may be presenting with challenging behaviors. Often these children remain at risk for further abuse and of child criminal and sexual exploitation. Our home, Green House, which is a 4-bedded home is located amongst other private and publicly owned residential properties in the London Borough of Havering.

Green House comprises of three floors and can provide planned and emergency placements for up to four children and young people of both sexes. The age range of the children and young people who can access our facility is 8-17 years.

Our staff is managed and supported by strong leadership from our Registered Manager, Joyce Jacob, who is an experienced social worker and has an extensive experience working in frontline children services and also possess experience a history of working with individual in a mental health setting. Senior management and director who is a qualified social worker with several years of experience working with children. As part of our team we have a mental health clinician Miss Oluwayemisi Agbebi who has experience in biopsychosocial assessment and care planning for mental health needs.

We provide regular trainings and development opportunities to our staff to ensure our home maintains the care for children and young people that is consistent with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Guide to Children’s Homes Regulations, including Quality Standards 2015 and the Children Acts 1989/2004.

  • To provide a safe space where our children will feel held in mind and valued as individuals
  • To work in partnership with our children, their families and stakeholders in providing the opportunities for our children and young people to develop and improve their self-esteem, identity and self-perception.
  • To promote the educational and career aspirations of our children in partnership with their families, Virtual schools of the placing authorities and other professionals.
  • To promote a healthy lifestyle and fully meet our children’s individual health, emotional and mental health needs
  • To promote the individual expectations and aspirations of our children and young people with regards to their cultural, sexual, educational, ethnic identity and special needs
  • To provide comprehensive assessment of individual needs and establish care and placement plans, which we use as working documents.
  • To work with children, their families and stakeholders to address offending and risk-taking behaviours through a trauma informed practice and other therapeutic interventions.
  • To encourage and reinforce positive behaviours through mentoring and modelling through activities and incentives.

Our Facility

Fo-Stars Childcare Services is located at 21, Green House, Hornchurch, Greater London RM11 2TB. Our facility is designed to be a welcoming and comfortable home for children, with amenities that support their emotional, educational, and recreational needs. We have created a space where children can feel safe, build positive relationships, and engage in activities that promote their overall well-being.
